About Abe

I'm a Korean-American dad of four in Northern Virginia, and I photograph the days that go by too fast: first birthdays, weddings, and the beautiful chaos of family life.

My style is photojournalistic with warm, deep tones. I chase natural light and the candid moments between the poses — the ones you'll want to remember exactly as they happened, ten, twenty, fifty years from now.

By day, I'm a full-time data scientist, which makes me obsessively organized: your timeline stays on track and no moment slips by.

Why Dol? As a Korean dad, the 돌잔치 is personal to me. The doljabi, the hanbok, three generations in one room celebrating one tiny human — I know what this day means, and I know how to capture it without missing the moment that matters most.

When I'm not behind the camera, I'm hunting for the perfect bowl of ramen (salty and savory, always) with my wife and our four kids.
